This morning we woke up to the usual playlist, which I’m actually getting used to (I’m starting to know all the words of “hotel California”). After getting ready for the day we went down for breakfast, we usually have fruits, toast, cornflakes, and hot chocolate! Although sometimes we will have chapatti’s or rolex aswell … yummmmm.
At around 9:00 we set off on the buses to go on a shoping day trip at Masaka. The bus ride was really fun even though the roads were reallyyyyy bumpy (roads here are very different compared to back home). When we arrived it was busy and I honestly felt slightly uneasy (there were LOTS of people there) – we started walking in groups towards a small supermarket in a mall were everyone started buying snacks for the day. After that we made our way through the streets towards a small market that sold a lot of clothes and bags (on a few of the streets there were people selling lots of meat, it didnt smell very nice). When everyone had a look around we all got into our groups and walked towards a REALLY big market, when we arrived we walked in and there were fruits everywhere! They had watermelon, mangos, passionfruit, and so much more! We had a walk around, looking at the handmade things upstairs and the clothing items on the next level. After we explored the market a bit (and bought some stuff) we went to try and find some lunch. We found this small restaurant that looked good so we went in and ordered some food, I ordered a pizza but it took sooooo long for it to get made we waited around 2 hours for it to arrive! After everyone ate we made our way back to the buses and started to make our way back to the school. When we came back we had to go to planets (it’s basically there houses) like we have Godrevy, Towan, Pentire, and Rame they have Venus, (the planet I’m in) Neptune, Jupiter, and Earth. The rehearsal was soooo fun today, everyone is looking forward to the planet competition tomorrow where we all sing and dance in our planets (it’s a bit like out Sports day). When we came back to the houses we relaxed and had dinner which were noodles… deliciousss!
