Today was amazing, we started off the day with our BANGING playlist tunes AT 7AM created by DJ Jenny and Adam!! Then we went to breakfast where we were fueled ourselves for the day with toast, samosas, cereal and lots of bananas. After we scoffed up all our breakfast we got in to our groups for the jobs we had been tasked for today. Our group started off peeling Matoke and potatoes with the students preparing for tonight’s feast where we served the school dinner. After the preparations we got out paint buckets, brushes and markers to finish the senior class room we have been painting. Once we had finished we ate lunch where we were served, potatoes, yam, green beans, avocado, beef and watermelon. Then because we are leaving tomorrow we packed our belongings before we headed to plant the coffee trees with Andrew. Me and Tahlie named one of the coffee trees after the OG dancer ” DJ BLAND!!” after his unforgettable performance at planets and the after party yesterday. Hot, tired and sweaty we trecked home to start serving the school their meal. While some of us were serving the meals others were helping to roll out and cook chapatti’s with some of the Ugandan students and the cooking staff. After dinner we danced with the younger kids it was so fun and memorable. Whilst the younger kids left, the bonfire was made for everyone to sing and chat for the last time before we leave to our next school. It was such an incredible moment that made us realise how quickly friendships had been made and how much we are going to miss this school. At the end the night we danced with friends for the final time to the upbeat music before we all had to go to bed. Today’s blog was written by Lamorna and Poppy thank you for reading!!
